2011 Notes
The seasonal permit fee of $25.00 will still be waived this year because of its success over the last five seasons. In lieu of the permit fee the park district requests donations of time or money. All monetary donations will go to the lakes and used for: structure creation, maintenance or fish restocking. Donations of time will be for the lakes and used in a variety of ways such as trash pick up weeks, structure creation and clean up days. There will also be an extra effort given to control the algae growth. A change to the rules and regulations are we will no longer be closing the gates at sunset, so anglers can fish into the evening. TAPD does still require a 2011 Illinois fishing permit. TAPD will continue to keep the lakes semi-private for TAPD residents only. Because of their semi-private nature, the state is not obligated to help restock, so monetary donations will be appreciated. Appreciated also is the effort made by those using the lakes to pick up their own trash or others trash to help keep the lakes clean.
